Yellow Thammanoon - Water Lilies

Nymphaea “Yellow Thammanoon” Day blooming non-viviparous. Originated in the Orients. Will over winter in zones 9 to 11. Plants size is small. Flower is a semi-star shaped light yellow, 3” to 5” across. Leaves are straight green 4“ to 6“ across. Has about a 1.5’ to 3’ spread. Best to grow in 6” to 14” of water. Flowers are slightly fragrant and stand well above the waters surface. You can grow this one in a one, two or three gallon container. Good for earthen ponds as well. This is one good bloomer, one of the best bloomers there is and will work well for smaller applications. Will tolerate shade especially in hotter climates. Best to grow in full sun.

Ruby - Water Lilies

Nymphaea “Ruby” Day blooming Viviparous. Bred by Bryne. Will over winter in zones 9 to 11. Plant size is Medium-large. Flower is Deep-medium pink, 4” to 8” across. Leaves are brownish-green 6“ to 12“ across. Has a 3’ to 7’ spread. Best to grow in 6” to 18” of water. Flowers are very fragrant and stand well above the waters surface. You can grow this one in a one, two or three gallon container. Good for earthen ponds as well. Viviparous leaves are a good producer of offspring. Will tolerate shade especially in hotter climates. Best to grow in full sun.

Royal Purple - Water Lilies

Nymphaea “Royal Purple” Day blooming Viviparous. Bred by Buskirk 1927. Will over winter in zones 9 to 11. Plants size is small to medium. Flower is a cup shaped purple, 4” to 6” across. Leaves are green with brown speckles 6“ to 8“ across. Has about a 2’ to 3.5’ spread. Best to grow in 6” to 18” of water. Flowers are very fragrant and stand well above the waters surface. You can grow this one in a one, two or three gallon container. Good for earthen ponds as well. Will produce many babies because its viviparous. Will tolerate shade especially in hotter climates. Best to grow in full sun.

Mameaw - Water Lilies

Nymphaea “Mameaw” Day blooming Viviparous. Originated in the Orients. Will over winter in zones 9 to 11. Plant size is Medium-large. Flower is raspberry-red, 4” to 8” across. Leaves are green 6“ to 12“ across. Has a 3’ to 7’ spread. Best to grow in 6” to 18” of water. Flowers are very fragrant and stand well above the waters surface. You can grow this one in a one, two or three gallon container. Good for earthen ponds as well. Mameaw is Jessie’s (my wife’s) and my favorite Tropical water lily. Always blooming these magnificent dark flowers that are very eye catching. Great bloomer and grower. Stays up longer in the season than most and will still bloom thru ice for us in the winter. Will tolerate shade especially in hotter climates. Best to grow in full sun.

King of Siam- Water Lilies

Nymphaea “King of Siam” Day blooming non-viviparous. Bred by Thamasuwan 1988. Will over winter in zones 9 to 11. Plant size is Medium-large. Flower is double blue star shaped, 4” to 8” across. Leaves are lightly flecked with brown spots 6“ to 12“ across. Has a 3’ to 7’ spread. Best to grow in 6” to 18” of water. Flowers are slightly fragrant and stand well above the waters surface. You can grow this one in a one, two or three gallon container. Good for earthen ponds as well. This is Jessie’s favorite Blue and is another Tropical which has a one of a kind look. Grows and blooms excellent but doesn’t produce many offspring, making it just a little more

Green Smoke - Water Lilies

Nymphaea “Green Smoke” Day blooming non-viviparous. Bred by Randig 1965. Will over winter in zones 9 to 11. Plant size is Medium. Flower is chartreuse-green with smoky blue tips, 4” to 8” across. Leaves are slightly mottled 6“ to 10“ across. Has a 2.5’ to 6’ spread. Best to grow in 6” to 18” of water. Flowers are very fragrant probably one of the most fragrant and stand well above the waters surface. You can grow this one in a one, two or three gallon container. Good for earthen ponds as well. This one has a one of a kind look. The flower is breathtaking, you’ll be hypnotized by its beauty. Great grower and bloomer. Will tolerate shade especially in hotter climates. Best to grow in full sun.

Blue Capensis - Water Lilies

Nymphaea “Blue Capensis” Day blooming non-viviparous. Will over winter in zones 9 to 11. Plant size is Medium. Flower is blue star shaped, 4” to 8” across. Leaves are straight green with jagged edges 6“ to 10“ across. Has a 2.5’ to 4’ spread. Best to grow in 6” to 18” of water. Flowers are very fragrant and stand well above the waters surface. You can grow this one in a one, two or three gallon container. Good for earthen ponds as well. This one will drop hundreds of seedlings every year. You have to baby them to survive though, but one plant has the potential of making 50 offspring in one year. Will tolerate shade especially in hotter climates. Best to grow in full sun.
